Dr. Clive Fernandes has specialized in hospital and administrative responsibilities of acute care hospitals for over 17 years. He has extensive experience in the areas of Quality, Medication management, Hospital Operations and Medical Administration. Currently he is associated with as the Group's Clinical Director and is responsible for driving all activities related to Clinical excellence, Academics, Nursing, and Quality across all the Group Hospitals. He has been associated as a Consultant with Joint Commission International for over 9 years and has been providing Consultation services in Asian, African, European and Middle East healthcare organizations. He has also participated as faculty for JCI's International Practicum's conducted at Abu Dhabi, Seoul, Indonesia, Singapore, Dubai & Miami. The areas of niche for Dr. Clive in his consulting experience are performance improvement; work and process redesign, leadership education, skill building; accreditation related education, patient safety assessment; action planning, process mapping, gap analysis and incorporating tracer methodology. He previously worked at Apollo Group Hospitals for more than 7 years, where he played a leadership role in designing and instituting systems that promoted medication safety and Quality Improvement Initiatives across the Group. As part of the Project Management office he was involved in defining and influencing the performance of improvement initiatives undertaken across the Group to improve operational efficiencies. Dr Clive Fernandes holds an MD degree from J.L.N. Medical College, Ajmer, Rajasthan, and MHA from Indian Institute of Management & Technology, Chennai.He is trained in Lean Six Sigma Methodology by Juran Institute, USA and has Green Belt Certification. He has been trained in Project Management and Strategies for Growth at IIM Ahmadabad.
