Dr. Gaurav Rekhi

Dr. hc Gaurav Rekhi has been in the healthcare industry for 20 years and is currently the Managing Director &CEO of Manipal Hospitals, ASEAN.
Specialising in strategic planning and healthcare operations management, Gaurav led the team in the successful commissioning of the new 220-bed Manipal Hospitals Klang and the critical move and transition from the old 70-bed hospital to the new hospital – all within 24 hours with no disruption to the services.
In helming operations in Malaysia, he will be spearheading regional expansion for Manipal Healthcare through greenfield and brownfield investments in Malaysia and ASEAN countries.
Gaurav joined the Manipal Healthcare Group in 2014 as GM Operations - Tamilnadu, Goa & Andhra in which he was responsible for the operations of five hospitals, which turned around to positive financial health through new and strengthened medical programmes. In April 2015, he was assigned as the Regional Head with additional responsibility of covering Rajasthan (Jaipur). In his stint so far, he has been able to turnaround all hospitals.
He started his career in the healthcare industry as a management trainee in Gokuldas Hospital in Indore in 1999 and moved up the ranks to become Administrator in KHN Memorial Hospital & Research Institute of Medical Sciences in Jammu and later, in the post graduate teaching hospital of AcharyaShriChandar College of Medical Science & Hospital.
After a stint as Senior Administrator in Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in New Delhi, he became Head of Patient Care Services in FORTIS Escorts Hospital in Jaipur and later, in Noida and then Facility Director in Fortis Hospital in Raigarh. Following that, he had joined Nova Medical Centers in Kailash Colony, New Delhi and subsequently, Max Super Specialty Hospital in Dehradun, as General Manager - Operations.
